Privacy Policy

How Foresera collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly when using our services, as well as data generated through your interactions with our platform.

Information You Provide

  • Contact information including your name, work email address, city or organization, and phone number submitted through lead capture forms, contact forms, and inquiry forms.
  • Website URLs submitted via our "Scan My Site" tool for website accessibility scanning and analysis.
  • PDF documents (up to 20MB per file) uploaded for document compliance remediation. These files are transferred directly to secure cloud storage via signed URLs.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data including pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns within the platform.
  • Device information such as browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and language preferences.
  • Log data including IP addresses, access times, and referring URLs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Performing accessibility audits by analyzing submitted URLs against WCAG 2.1 AA standards and ADA Title II requirements.
  • Processing document remediation by analyzing and remediating uploaded PDF files for accessibility compliance.
  • Delivering results via email, including audit reports, remediated documents, and compliance summaries.
  • Improving our analysis engines to provide more accurate and comprehensive accessibility evaluations.
  • Communicating with you about your requests, service updates, and relevant product information.
  • Maintaining platform security and preventing misuse of our services.

Foresera does not sell your personal data to third parties. We only share information with service providers as described in Section 3 and as necessary to deliver our services.

3. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate our platform. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

  • Vercel — Hosts our web application and serverless functions on a globally distributed edge network.
  • Clerk — Manages authentication and user sessions for platform accounts. Clerk stores credentials, session tokens, and basic profile information for registered users.
  • Google Cloud Storage — Stores uploaded PDF documents securely with encryption at rest.
  • Resend — Delivers transactional emails such as audit results and compliance reports.
  • Mixpanel — Provides behavioral analytics to help us understand how the platform is used. For authenticated users, Mixpanel may receive account-level identifiers (such as a user ID and organization name) to associate usage events with your session. Mixpanel does not use your data for third-party advertising.
  • Processing services — Powers our accessibility analysis engines, document remediation, and intelligence features. Data sent to these services is used solely for processing your requests and is not retained by the providers for training purposes.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored using industry-standard security practices. PDF documents are uploaded directly to Google Cloud Storage via signed URLs, bypassing our application servers entirely. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest within our storage infrastructure.

We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Specifically:

  • Email addresses and contact information are retained as long as needed to provide services and communicate with you.
  • Uploaded documents are retained for the duration necessary to complete processing and deliver results, after which they may be deleted.
  • Audit data and reports are retained to support ongoing service delivery and improvement.

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion — You may request that we delete your personal data, subject to any legal obligations requiring retention.
  • Opt-out — You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email or by contacting us directly.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@foresera.com.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information. You have the right to know what personal data we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion of your data, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. As noted above, Foresera does not sell personal data. To exercise your rights under the CCPA, please contact us at hello@foresera.com.

6. Cookies and Tracking

Our platform may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain session state, remember preferences, and understand how visitors interact with our site. These are limited to what is necessary for platform functionality and analytics.

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymized usage data about how visitors interact with our website. This helps us understand traffic patterns and improve our services. Google Analytics may use cookies to distinguish unique users and sessions.

We use Mixpanel to collect behavioral analytics, including page views, navigation paths, and feature usage patterns. Mixpanel stores data using browser localStorage rather than cookies. For authenticated users, Mixpanel may associate analytics events with your account to help us understand how the platform is used. Mixpanel does not use your data for third-party advertising.

We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings, though disabling cookies may affect certain platform features.

7. Google Ads and Remarketing

Foresera uses Google Ads to promote our services. In connection with our advertising campaigns, the following technologies may be active on our website:

  • Conversion tracking — We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. This involves a cookie placed by Google when you click on one of our ads. The cookie helps us understand which ads lead to actions on our site, such as form submissions.
  • Remarketing pixels — We may use Google remarketing tags to show relevant ads to visitors who have previously interacted with our website. This means you may see Foresera ads on other websites within the Google Display Network.

You can opt out of Google's use of cookies for advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page. For more information about how Google uses your data, please review Google's Privacy Policy.

8. Children's Privacy

Foresera's services are not directed at individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will take prompt steps to delete that information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or a prominent notice on our platform.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
