Page Usage Policy
How prepaid pages work for Foresera enterprise customers.
How It Works
Foresera operates on a simple prepaid model: 1 page processed = 1 page consumed.
You purchase pages in advance through Page Packs. As your documents are processed through the platform, pages are deducted from your balance. Pages are only consumed when processing completes successfully — if a document fails, no pages are consumed.
Purchasing Pages
Pages are purchased through your authorized reseller via purchase order. Available Page Packs:

What Counts as a "Page"
A page is one side of a sheet that gets processed through the system.

Expiration
- Pages expire 24 months from the date of purchase
- Foresera will notify you 90 days before any pages are set to expire
- If your contract renews, unused pages carry forward — but the original 24-month clock from purchase still applies
- Expired pages are forfeited
Best practice: Purchase pages in quantities you expect to consume within 12 to 18 months to avoid expiration risk.
When Pages Run Out
If your page balance reaches zero:
- Processing pauses — no documents are lost, they stay in the queue
- Foresera notifies your reseller immediately
- You can purchase additional Page Packs at your contracted rate
- Processing resumes as soon as new pages are loaded
Foresera also notifies your reseller when your balance hits 10% of the original allocation, so you have time to plan a top-up.
Refunds
Prepaid pages are non-refundable, with two exceptions:
- If Foresera terminates the agreement without cause, you receive a pro rata refund of unused, unexpired pages
- If Foresera materially breaches the agreement and fails to cure, you may request a pro rata refund of unused, unexpired pages
Allocating Pages Across Projects
If you have multiple projects or domains, pages can be allocated flexibly:
- Pages from any purchased pack can be assigned to any active project
- If one project finishes under budget, unused pages can be moved to another
- Your reseller coordinates page allocation with Foresera
Estimating Your Needs
When scoping a project, consider:
- Pages vs. documents — How many pages total, not just how many PDF files? A single document can have dozens of pages.
- Single vs. double-sided — Double-sided scanning doubles the page count.
- Reprocessing buffer — Add 5 to 10% on top of raw page count.
- Ongoing volume — How many new documents are published per month?
