Acceptable Use Policy

Rules governing acceptable use of the Foresera platform, tools, and services.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all users of the Foresera platform, including end users accessing the platform through authorized resellers. This AUP supplements the End User License Agreement and Terms of Service.

1. Permitted Uses

Foresera is a document accessibility remediation platform. You may use the Platform to:

  • Submit or authorize the discovery and remediation of PDF documents you own or are authorized to process
  • Review compliance audit results, grades, and VPAT conformance reports
  • Download remediated documents and associated reports
  • Apply corrections to remediation results through the human-in-the-loop workflow
  • Access dashboards, analytics, and reporting related to your own documents and projects
  • Use Foresera APIs in accordance with your service agreement and API documentation

2. Prohibited Uses

The following activities are strictly prohibited. Violation may result in immediate suspension or termination of access.

2.1 Unauthorized Content

  • Submitting documents you do not own or do not have legal authority to process
  • Processing content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or designed to harm others
  • Uploading files containing malware, viruses, or other malicious code

2.2 Platform Abuse

  • Circumventing rate limits, access controls, authentication mechanisms, or other security measures
  • Automated scraping, crawling, or bulk access to the Platform beyond the provided APIs
  • Attempting to overload, disrupt, or degrade the performance of the Platform or its infrastructure
  • Sharing account credentials with unauthorized individuals — each authorized user must have their own account
  • Accessing another user's account, data, or projects without authorization

2.3 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code of the Platform
  • Attempting to extract, replicate, or reverse-engineer Foresera's AI models, remediation algorithms, or compliance scoring methodology
  • Using the Platform to develop, train, or improve a competing product or service
  • Copying, modifying, or redistributing any part of the Platform without written permission

2.4 Competitive Intelligence

  • Using the Platform for the purpose of benchmarking, evaluating, or comparing Foresera's capabilities to develop or market a competing product
  • Systematically testing the Platform to catalog its features, accuracy, or limitations for competitive purposes

2.5 Misrepresentation

  • Using Foresera compliance reports or grades to misrepresent your organization's compliance status — reports reflect the state of documents at the time of processing and are not legal compliance certifications
  • Representing that Foresera has endorsed, certified, or guaranteed your organization's regulatory compliance
  • Altering or modifying compliance reports or VPAT documents in a manner that misrepresents the assessment results

3. API Usage

If you access the Foresera Platform via API, the following additional rules apply:

  • Rate limits: Respect published rate limits. Requests exceeding limits will be throttled or rejected.
  • Authentication: API keys and tokens are confidential. Do not share, publish, or embed them in client-side code or public repositories.
  • Fair use: API access is intended for integration with your workflows. Bulk operations should be coordinated with Foresera support to avoid service disruption.
  • User-Agent: Identify your integration with a descriptive User-Agent header.

4. Security Requirements

All authorized users are expected to maintain reasonable security practices:

  • Use strong, unique passwords for Foresera accounts
  • Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) when available
  • Report any suspected unauthorized access or security incidents to support@foresera.com immediately
  • Do not share login credentials across users or systems
  • Revoke access for personnel who no longer require it

5. Enforcement

Monitoring

Foresera monitors Platform usage through automated systems to detect violations of this AUP. Monitoring includes API request patterns, usage anomalies, and security events. Foresera does not monitor the content of your documents except as necessary to provide the remediation services.

Violations

If Foresera determines that a violation of this AUP has occurred, Foresera may, at its discretion:

  • Issue a warning and request that the violation be corrected
  • Temporarily suspend access to the Platform pending investigation
  • Permanently terminate access for severe or repeated violations
  • Pursue legal remedies for violations that cause harm to Foresera or third parties

Where possible, Foresera will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the violation before taking enforcement action. However, Foresera reserves the right to take immediate action without notice for violations that pose a security risk, legal liability, or threat to other users.

6. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of a violation of this AUP by any user, please report it to:

7. Changes to This Policy

Foresera may update this AUP at any time. Material changes will be communicated with at least thirty (30) days' notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
